The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, along with proven supervisory experience. As a Sous Chef, you will assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety while fostering a positive team environment. This role is essential in maintaining the efficiency of our kitchen and delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.
Duties
Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and staff management.
Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards.
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, demonstrating culinary expertise and creativity.
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations.
Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and manage food costs effectively.
Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings.
Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned regularly.
Provide leadership during service periods, ensuring smooth operation and guest satisfaction.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role within a restaurant environment.
Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation and cooking techniques.
Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
