As an Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant, supporting the management team in all aspects of daily activities.
Duties
Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations to ensure efficiency and high-quality service.
Supervise and train staff, fostering a positive team environment while promoting excellent hospitality practices.
Manage food preparation and production processes, ensuring adherence to food safety standards and regulations.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain high culinary standards and ensure timely service delivery.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism, striving to enhance guest satisfaction.
Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed to maintain optimal stock levels.
Implement training programmes for new employees, focusing on food safety, cooking techniques, and customer service skills.
Assist in creating staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of both front-of-house and back-of-house areas.
Requirements
Proven experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
Strong culinary experience with knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team effectively.
Previous experience in food production or kitchen management is desirable.
Familiarity with serving practices and customer service excellence within the hospitality sector.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
A background in hotel or barista experience is an advantage but not essential.
