Duties

Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking.
Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to food safety standards.
Train and mentor team members in culinary techniques and best practices.

Ensure that all dishes are prepared according to recipes and presentation standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu planning, including seasonal specials and new dishes.
Monitor inventory levels, assisting with ordering supplies as necessary.
Handle any customer inquiries or complaints regarding food quality or service.
Requirements

Proven experience in a culinary role, preferably within a restaurant setting.
Strong supervisory experience with a focus on team management.
Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and practices.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
Previous experience in hospitality is advantageous.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality.
