As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for managing kitchen operations, mentoring staff, and ensuring an outstanding dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production.
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring quality and consistency in all dishes served.
Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Implement and enforce food safety standards and hygiene practices in accordance with health regulations.
Develop new menu items and specials that reflect current culinary trends while catering to customer preferences.
Train, mentor, and motivate kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Monitor kitchen performance, addressing any issues that arise promptly to maintain service quality.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
Strong supervisory skills with experience in team management and leadership.
Extensive knowledge of food production techniques, cooking methods, and presentation styles.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in a restaurant setting.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
A creative flair for developing new dishes and enhancing existing menu offerings.
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with both kitchen and front-of-house teams.
